

Ladies

Dresses: Full-length gowns are encouraged but not required. Shorter dresses should fall below the knee "Midi". Dress should be one piece covering the abdomen.

Neckline- we understand there are a variety of body types. Please do your best to have a modest neckline, with no undergarments visible and make alterations. (please see picture).

Slits if present, may not go above the knee

The gown's back may not be lower than the smallest portion of the natural waistline., (see picture)

NEHomeschool Events will not be able to alter hemlines nor slits at the dance.

If your dress does not comply with this dress code you are responsible for alterations before arrival to the dance.

Our Volunteers can only assist with helping to pin or possibly sew an unexpected tear in a dress to assist with a successful dance night.

Spaghetti straps and strapless gowns are permitted. Simple lines are easiest to follow- for instance arm pit to arm pit.

A dress should fit comfortably and stay in place throughout the night. Practice dancing in your dress to make sure everything stays in place.

Shoes that can dance and slide on wooden dance floor.
No Jeans
No T-shirts
No open shirts, they should be buttoned to neckline.

Our Volunteers will be checking for dress code violations throughout the event. If a violation is spotted and you are asked to leave the dance floor you have a few options:
1. Fix it your self- or call a parent to come assist​ to meet compliance rules.
2. Ask a volunteer to assist in the repair if we have the means to do so, like safety pin etc.
3. Change into another dress that meets code.
4. Leave the dance floor with a volunteer and wait for a parent to be notified and a pickup is arranged.
